Satisfied Amsoil customers A New Jersey Car passes inspection with AMSOIL Dear AMSOIL: A friend of mine has debated for several years on using amsoil synthetic oil in his cars saying that it was too expensive. I have tried to tell him that in the long run it is cheaper. About three weeks ago he came to me and said his car will not pass New Jersey State inspection because it smokes when accelerated and did not think using amsoil synthetic oil would get the car to pass inspection by eliminating the smoking. I told him that if his oil rings were in fair shape, amsoil synthetic oil would most likely stop the smoking when accelerating. The inspector told him he would have to have the motor over-hauled. He purchased 4 quarts of amsoil synthetic oil 10W-30, Engine Flush and a filter. He stopped last night (March 19, 2002) and told me that his car passed inspection with flying colors and the only thing he did was to use the amsoil engine flush and the 10W-30 amsoil oil. He was planning on over-hauling the engine this summer, but since the car passed inspection he has decided to see how many more miles he can go before he must rebuild the engine. The car presently has 220,000 miles on it. He has now decided to convert his other car and his pick-up truck to amsoil synthetic oil. I have never see a person so excited and happy as he was when he stopped here. he had just come from the inspection station and couldn't wait to tell me that amsoil oil is more than he expected. he has noticed the easier starting on cold mornings; no more valve lifter clacking and oil pressure is there as soon as he starts the car. We have another satisfied amsoil customer, who is one of many amsoil dealers worldwide. Thank You, Norman P. Crawford A Volkswagon Passat Mark Chalkley is a semi-retired computer programmer who also is a heavy equipment operator. His knowledge of heavy equipment allows him to frequently offer advice on TractorNet, an informational Website for agricultural equipment users. Chalkley often tells people about his experiences with AMSOIL. And those experiences have been quite remarkable. Chalkley owns several vehicles and pieces of equipment that have benefitted from his use of AMSOIL products. He uses a 1993 Dodge pickup truck with a Cummins engine to haul loads of more than 25,000 pounds. He also has a 1997 Ford Contour and an earth mover back hoe. I use AMSOIL in everything, Chalkley said. I have never worn out anything that has had AMSOIL oil in it. He put AMSOIL Series 3000 5W-30 Heavy Duty Diesel Oil in his 1996 Volkswagon Passat at about 10,000 miles, and put AMSOIL 75W-90 Gear Lube in the transmission shortly after. The Passat now has over 278,000 miles on it and its still running the same gear lube. Chalkley changes his motor oil in the Passat at 50,000 mile drain intervals. There's no by-pass kit on it either, he said, and I've never had a problem. Not a one. (Editors Note: AMSOIL recommends a drain interval for the Series 3000 5W-30 Heavy Duty Diesel Oil that is up to two times longer than manufacturers recommendations in passenger vehicles with diesel engines if extended drain intervals are supported by the findings of a used oil analysis program, or six months, whichever comes first.) Chalkley adds nearly a quart of oil every 4,500 miles, and has noticed that oil consumption hasn't changed in the six-year-old car at all since he switched to AMSOIL. In fact, oil consumption actually improved since that time. Its not burning any oil, he said.
